The England centre-back, who turns 33 in March, is one of United’s highest-paid players, so signing a new contract on lower terms is the only viable option.
However, Ineos are understood to be wary of hampering the development of Lenny Yoro and Eden Paradise, two young defenders considered two of the club’s most promising prospects.
Several teams within and outside the Premier League have expressed interest in signing Maguire.
Bournemouth, Chelsea, Everton and West Ham have all been linked with the Sheffield native, while Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan and Napoli are also in the hunt for the player.

There is even a possibility of a move to the Middle East, with some teams in the Saudi Professional League paying close attention to the centre-back with a greater reputation.
However, Maguire is determined to stay at Old Trafford and is prioritizing a new contract over offers elsewhere. His brash displays in successive wins over Manchester City and Arsenal have further bolstered his credentials, with caretaker manager Michael Carrick a big fan of the experienced defender.
Haman wants Harry
However, if Ineos allows Maguire to leave Old Trafford this summer, Dietmar Hamann believes Liverpool should bring him to Merseyside on a free transfer.

The former midfielder, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, is adamant that Arne Slott’s side need to “increase depth at the back” after seeing his old club’s defense struggle this season.
“if [Maguire is] Apparently free to use [they’ll] It has to be thought about because I think what Liverpool need is depth at the back. ” said Haman (as paraphrased) team talk).
The German also praised Maguire’s mental toughness as he regained his footing at United despite some difficult setbacks, including being stripped of the captaincy and being heavily criticized by legions of fans.
“You’ve got to give it to Harry Maguire because he’s had a lot of support over the last few years and he always comes back.”

However, man of the people If he had followed Hamann’s advice and reached across the unbridgeable divide in England’s north-west, he would have advised the centre-back not to return to Manchester’s red half.
