The DFB-Pokal match against RB Leipzig in February was a huge one for Harry Kane. Not because the Englishman opened the scoring in a 2-0 win in the quarter-finals – his sixth goal of the tournament – but because it was the only game in the last month in which he scored “only” one goal. He has scored twice in each of his other matches – all in the Bundesliga. Only Lothar Emmerich in 1967 and Wolfsburg’s Tomislav Maric in 2001 had achieved this feat before. “At certain times in a season a lot of things fall at your feet and go your way and that’s exactly the situation I’m in now,” the goalscorer said after the 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund.
With nine goals in five competitive games – it’s only logical that Kane was named Bayern’s Player of the Month for February.

Kane began his brace at home against Hoffenheim on 8 February, scoring the opening goal and the goal that made the score 2–1 (both penalties), while also assisting the other goal. A week later, his first goal was also a penalty in a 3-0 win over Werder Bremen, and he quickly followed up by scoring his 26th goal of the season. In the 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, he scored Bayern’s second goal with a header and scored the third goal with a left-footed shot. Finally, against table-toppers Borussia Dortmund, the striker’s two goals helped his side come back from a goal down to lead 2-1. The second was another penalty, his tenth in the German top flight – only Paul Breitner had taken so many penalties in one season before in 1980/81. This was despite Dortmund having only 13 touches of the ball in the first half.
Kane is also a champion
Our ninth place finisher won by a clear margin with 41.5% of the vote, followed by Luis Dias (25.3%) and Joshua Kimmich (7%). Kane has already won the third monthly championship of the season in September and October 2025, and is now also at the top of the overall rankings.
The vote for Goal of the Month goes to Joshua Kimmich:
