Fox’s Doocy Presses WH on Reports of 10 Dead or Missing US Scientists With Access to Classified Material

Senior White House Correspondent, Fox News Peter Ducey White House press secretary under pressure Caroline Levitt The story of 10 American scientists who have disappeared or died in the past year or two is a brewing story that has captured the imagination of Americans interested in UFOs and concerned about national security.

“There are now 10 U.S. scientists missing or dead since mid-2024. All of them reportedly had access to classified nuclear or aerospace materials. Is anyone investigating this to see if these things are related?” Ducey asked at a press conference on Wednesday.

“I’ve seen the report, Peter,” Levitt replied, adding:

I have not spoken to our relevant agencies about this. I will definitely do it and we will give you the answer. Certainly, if that’s true, I think it’s definitely something that this administration and this administration would consider worthy of looking at. So let me do this for you.

There are various channels for reporting on dead or missing scientists, e.g. daily mail to online blogs such as The Liberty Line, a primary source citing 10 people dead or missing. Newsweek reported on the story earlier this week, noting that a new “report highlights that Michael David Hicks, a long-time NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) scientist who studied asteroids and comets, died of an undisclosed cause in 2023, marking the ninth in a long list of U.S. experts in advanced space, defense and nuclear fields who have died or gone missing in recent years.”

“Authorities have not established any specific links between the cases and have not publicly charged Hicks’ death with foul play, but some lawmakers have called for greater scrutiny as high-profile incidents ranging from the disappearance of a retired Air Force general to the killing of a prominent astrophysicist have drawn attention,” the report added, noting the highly speculative nature of the report.
