Following the March 7 phone call, Dwight’s ex-girlfriend Tiffany Redd requested an emergency order on Monday, March 16, seeking custody of their 15-year-old daughter Leila, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Ryder submitted the initial application because she had “serious and pressing concerns” for the welfare and safety of her daughter Leila.

“Laila was recently admitted to a mental hospital after she expressed thoughts of harming herself and stated multiple times that she was fearful and emotionally distressed about returning to her father’s home, which she believed contributed to her crisis,” Reade claimed in the custody modification.

Reade explained that given her daughter’s mental health and the risks to her health, she felt it was in Leila’s best interest to live with her until the matter was reviewed by the courts. Laila also filed a custody selection affidavit requesting to live with her mother.
