A cardiologist has warned he has “serious concerns” about President Donald Trump’s health after watching his “crazy” address to the nation.
Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a CNN medical analyst who served as the late Vice President Dick Cheney’s cardiologist for more than 30 years, made a series of shocking statements on X as Trump delivered his revved-up speech.
Trump spoke quickly and often in an angry tone during his 18-minute speech, occasionally shouting words he read from a teleprompter.

“The pace of this speech was frantic,” Reiner wrote, noting that the tone of the speech also didn’t match the Christmas decorations displayed behind Trump.
The president squeezed out a brief holiday greeting at the end without smiling.
“I’m very worried about the president’s health,” Reyna said of the 79-year-old, adding, “No one should be happy to see the president like this. He doesn’t look well.”

Trump’s health has been a source of concern this year, from his injured hand to falling asleep during Cabinet meetings.
Reiner fact-checked White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt earlier this month when she announced that Trump’s second health checkup in a year would include a “precautionary MRI” to examine his heart and abdomen.
“Well, there really is no preventive cardiac MRI,” Reiner said.
“This is not a standard test for an 80-year-old to undergo advanced imaging,” Reiner continued, saying the White House message had a “weird, defensive, evasive tone.”
He also noted that “preventative” abdominal imaging is particularly special.
“This is obviously in response to some clinical concerns, which is fine. As we all get older, things happen to people, and the president is almost 80 years old,” said Reiner, a professor of medicine at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. “So instead of using this evasive, almost comical note, just say what happened.

“I hope the imaging is normal and good; that would be good news,” Reiner added. “But this bit-by-bit, bit-by-bit release of information is concerning.”
