Gallup reported that “only 21% rated the economy as ‘excellent’ or ‘good,’ while another 31% described it as ‘fair’.”
Meanwhile, polls show that 68% of Americans think economic conditions are “getting worse,” while only 29% think economic conditions are improving.
“In recent years, Americans have been more pessimistic than optimistic about the direction of the economy, but current data have worsened from earlier this year,” the report said. “In May, 58% thought the economy was getting worse and 37% thought it was improving.”
