The Kansas City Chiefs have a big game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be without one of his top three receivers.
During Friday’s press conference, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid mentioned wide receiver Hollywood Brown (personal) as one of four players who missed the final practice of the week; he also missed Wednesday’s practice.

Asked if Brown would be available to play Sunday, Reid said unequivocally: “No.”
The other three players mentioned are all offensive linemen. Tackles Wanya Morris (knee) and Jawaan Taylor (triceps – knee) missed all practices this week. Right guard Trey Smith (ankle) did not participate in Friday’s practice after limited participation Thursday.
The head coach gave the media an update on Smith’s progress following his injury in Week 12.
“[He’s] “Just not ready to go yet,” Reed declared. “He’s trying to overcome it and push himself, but I don’t think he’s quite there yet.”
Reid noted that cornerback Trent McDuffie practiced Friday after having limited availability on Wednesday and Thursday. He’s the silver lining in Reid’s latest news.
