NFL Media’s Chad Reuter released his latest three-round mock draft. In it, he sees the Chargers using two picks to address offensive line issues and another to select a top pass rusher.
In the first round of the draft, Los Angeles traded with the Texans and selected Texas A&M linebacker Chase Bisontis with the 28th overall pick.
After the Bolts’ season was marred by offensive line injuries, Jim Harbaugh should be interested in adding a strong-willed offensive lineman like Bizontis, especially if free agents Zion Johnson and Jamari Salier are not retained.
With only five picks in this year’s draft, the Bolts would be wise to pursue trades to stockpile more picks. As for the draft itself, Bizontis would be an upgrade at either guard position, Zion Johnson is a pending free agent, Mekhi Becton is a cutting candidate, and a great scheme that fits offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.

In the second round, Los Angeles selected another Aggie in Cashius Howell to address the edge rusher position.
Odafe Oweh and Khalil Mack are both set to enter free agency. If they don’t return, the Chargers will need a running mate opposite Tuli Tupuluotu. Howell doesn’t offer much as a run defender, but he knows how to consistently put pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
In the third round of the draft, the Chargers added Oregon offensive tackle Isaiah World.
Wold is a veteran player with four years of experience as a starting tackle. However, while the Chargers could use a swing tackle, it seems too early to move to tackle. Instead, they would be better off adding another interior offensive lineman, a defensive tackle or a cornerback.
