The Broncos need to provide Bonix with some better, more consistent options to put the football into next season. This team has a top-notch defense and is just a few playmakers away from winning a Super Bowl. The team’s championship window is open and they must seize the opportunity.
Having a wide receiver as a primary need heading into next season isn’t necessarily a good thing. There is a dearth of options in both free agency and the college draft, so teams like the Broncos need to get creative.
The team could try to make a huge trade, like this idea here , acquiring Marvin Harrison from the Arizona Cardinals. But if George Paton and Sean Payton decide to take a more traditional approach, they could find value in the later rounds of the draft.
Broncos could take Indiana’s Elijah Zarate in second round
One name you are going to hear a lot this draft season is that of Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver, Elijah Sarratt. His name will pop up frequently in mock drafts between now and the end of April. Nick Kosmider of The Athletic has the Broncos selecting him in the second round in his latest 7-round mock draft.

That’s because there are only a handful of wide receivers worthy of first-round consideration this year, and the Broncos will likely draft them all before the 30th overall pick in the first round even begins. For a team still in need of wide receivers after the first round, Zarate could be a great find.
In his three-year college career at James Madison University, Zarate caught 200 passes for 2,978 yards and 31 touchdowns. His 15 touchdown catches led the nation last season, helping the Indians win the national championship.
Zarate is 6-foot-2, 209 pounds and has excellent body control for his size. He has great hands and has shown the ability to attack in the open space. He often wins contested catches, and if he catches the ball a few yards short of the stick, he can gain extra yardage.

He’s not a home run hitter who can break through defenses, but he will be a huge addition to the Broncos.
