Algeria A had a frustrating first half in their first Arab Cup game. Majid Bogra’s side dominated the Sudanese half, creating a number of dangerous chances – notably through Burbina and Belkan – but were unable to find a breakthrough. The Sudanese defense was well organized and looked to launch a counterattack.
But the best moment of the opening 45 minutes was the entirely avoidable sending off of Adam Ounas, who lost his cool and sent his teammates to the ground. It was a costly mistake that seriously complicated the Celtics’ situation for the rest of the game.

Despite being reduced to ten men, the scoreline remained locked at 0-0, largely due to the Sudanese goalkeeper’s outstanding performance in the first half. Algeria needs to be more calm and disciplined to avoid a major setback.
