If Santa Claus didn’t bring you any gifts and you’re an Angel City supporter, then today is your lucky day. Why? Well, because the club today announced the signings of five players who will be announced in the coming days.
While they didn’t reveal who these players were, they teased them with emojis. So, on Tuesday, the first of these five contestants will be announced, and we can be sure that she is the Brazilian magician.

The second player to be announced next Wednesday has a cherry and a bomb as clues, which could point to a Japanese player, as the cherry blossom is Japan’s national flower.
Then, on Thursday, the club will announce a third signing, with clues suggesting there could be a player from Duke as they’re called the Blue Devils.
The fourth signing announced next Friday could be a champion from Florida State, while the fifth and final signing could be an American player who has won the Shield during his career.
Whoever these signings are, it’s good to see the offseason starting to pick up pace in Angel City, as the only news coming out of the club this offseason has been a number of departures, including the departure of Germany international Sara Dolson and the extensions of Hina Sugita and Neely Martin.

As we await an announcement from the club about the signings, there’s one lingering question: whether sporting director Mark Parsons will be able to put together a competitive enough squad to compete for this year’s Shield and Championship.
