The two clubs are currently in final negotiations, although Celje is reportedly unwilling to let their successful coach leave.
However, Frankfurt are confident of finding a solution as soon as possible and will pay the transfer fee for the 43-year-old player no matter what.
“We are in the sprint to reach an agreement,” board spokesman Axel Hellmann told a meeting in Frankfurt on Monday.
