Toro is a French-Canadian of Venezuelan descent.
According to “The Athletic”, he was born in Longueuil, Quebec, to Venezuelan immigrant parents.
This is his second time representing Team Canada in the WBC, also in 2023.
What language does Abraham Toro speak?
According to Fox Broadcasting Company, Toro is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
It makes sense given his background, but it’s still a pretty cool thing to do.
Toro previously played for the Boston Red Sox and joined the Kansas City Royals this offseason.
