A certain traveling beaver failed his current report card.
Multiple Buc-ee’s locations received an “F” rating from the nonprofit on the Better Business Bureau’s website after the organization said the Texas-based travel center failed to respond to 88 customer complaints. Similar to review sites like Yelp, anyone can submit a complaint about a business on the Better Business Bureau website. Of the 88 outstanding complaints against Buc-ee’s as of March 11, the oldest unanswered complaint dates back to March 2023 and the most recent complaint was filed in February 2026.
Common complaints about this Beaver-packed tourist center include problems with car washes, damaged or invalid merchandise and swipe card charge errors. Some customers also said they filed complaints on Buc-ee’s website but received no response from the company.
Buc-ee’s did not immediately respond for comment on the “F” rating when contacted by USA TODAY on March 11.

Better Business Bureau ratings range from A+ to F. According to the Better Business Bureau’s website, ratings are based on information about a business that the nonprofit can obtain, including public complaints.
“A BBB rating is not a guarantee of a business’s reliability or performance. The BBB recommends that consumers consider a business’s BBB rating in addition to all other available information about the business,” the organization’s website states.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) was founded in 1912 as a non-profit organization that provides corporate transparency to the public. The BBB offers a paid certification program for businesses, allows consumers to leave public reviews and file official complaints, and operates its letter-grade rating system to help consumers better understand a business’s practices.
