The play-by-play commentary is great throughout, although it does get really good at the end. As the final buzzer blew, the play-by-play announcer played the moment, saying, “Put on the glass slipper. This is a Cinderella story for Portland, Oregon. For the first time in program history, High Point breaks through. We’ll see you in the Round of 32.”
The note on breakouts is well observed. When the game began, High Point was 0-57 against power conference opponents. Currently, the team has a record of 1-57 in such games.
With the win, High Point will advance to the second round, where they will face No. 4 Arkansas, which defeated No. 13 Hawaii on Thursday.
