MOSCOW, April 27 (Reuters) – An employee of the Russian-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Ukraine was killed in a Ukrainian drone strike, the management of the Russian Zaporozhye nuclear power plant said in a Telegram post on Monday.
“Today, a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attacked the transport sector of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, killing a driver,” the post said.
The International Atomic Energy Agency said its on-site team will investigate the incident and continue to monitor developments.

IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi was quoted as saying in a post on social media platform X that attacks on or near nuclear power plants “could endanger nuclear security and must not occur”.
