A wrong-way driver crashed and started a vehicle fire on Highway 1 in Morro Bay Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
At 4:09 p.m., a silver Hyundai traveling south in the northbound lanes of Highway 1 hit a white Lexus head-on near the Morro Bay Boulevard off-ramp, the CHP said.
As of 4:17 p.m., one of the vehicles was on fire. A CHP traffic log said all passengers had exited the vehicle.
The CHP said both drivers suffered minor to moderate injuries.
