The Worcester Red Sox will bring “Town Takeover” back to Polar Park this upcoming season. The initiative will involve more than 30 different communities in central Massachusetts.
During these events, match days at the stadium are dedicated to a specific town or city. The program is designed to highlight the local community while supporting area organizations through ticket sales.

Communities participating in this year’s event include Framingham, Leominster and Shrewsbury, among others.
Each featured community will host specific game days at the ballpark for its residents.
The program serves as a local fundraiser for participating regions. For every ticket sold to a Town Takeover game, the Worcester Red Sox will donate a portion of the proceeds to a non-profit organization located in that town or city.
The team also added a competitive element to the program. According to the Worcester Red Sox, the town that receives the most votes in its featured game will receive a trophy and special recognition.
