The Houston Texans host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday as 14.5-point favorites. The Texans have won six straight, but the Jaguars have won five in a row and are one game ahead of Houston in the AFC South. This matchup looks like a breeze, but the Texans still need to secure a win to stay in contention for the division title.
In this game, both Texans running backs Woody Marks and Nick Chubb struggled to get going. Chubb was overtaken by Marks last week and sat out, giving Jahar Jordan a huge workload while Marks dealt with an ankle injury. Jordan rushed for 101 yards on 15 carries against the Cardinals, which could put him ahead of Chubb on the depth chart.

Woody Marks injury update
game state: The Texans announced Woody Marks was inactive for Week 16. Nick Chubb is active and will join Jahar Jordan.
Match day updates: Adam Schefter reports that Woody Marks is not expected to play in Week 16 against the Raiders. He hasn’t been able to train much due to an ankle injury that looks set to take him at least a week. Houston’s game is at 4:25 PM ET, which means we won’t receive their official inactive report until 2:55 PM. If you had to make a decision on Max at the 1 p.m. kickoff, you could bench him in Week 16.
Marquez was unable to practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but practiced on a limited basis on Friday and was placed on questionable roster spot. Head coach DeMeco Ryans was hopeful earlier in the week, saying the injury was not serious. There’s a good chance the team just wants to give him as much rest as possible to get him ready to play.

Nick Chubb, on the other hand, participated in two full practices this week but is still listed as questionable due to a rib injury.
Fantasy Football Analysis
If Max can’t play and Chubb can, I’d still probably lean toward Jahar Jordan as the starting guard. It would be nice to get some confirmation before committing him to the fantasy playoffs, but in this case he’s an option.
This game against the Raiders is good enough to start Marks as long as he’s active, which I hope he does, but if Jordan is still available, I’ll try to pick him up.
