The woman who allegedly had an affair with Sherrone Moore no longer works at the University of Michigan.
“Her contract expired and was not renewed,” the university’s athletic department confirmed to PEOPLE.

Moore allegedly admitted that he had an “intimate relationship” with the woman for approximately two years until she ended the relationship on December 8. Jessica Welker of the Pittsfield Township Police Department testified during Moore’s Dec. 12 court hearing. He allegedly called and texted her multiple times over the next two days, according to Welker’s testimony.
On December 10, the staff member reported the relationship to the school. That same day, Moore was fired as the university’s head football coach amid allegations of “an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.”
He was taken into police custody hours later after police responded to an “alleged assault.” He allegedly refused to leave her residence until the woman called her attorney, Heidi Sharp. She told police the staff member had “never been so scared in his life”.
Sharp then called emergency dispatch on behalf of her client and, according to Welker’s testimony, Sharp said “Moore is inside.” [her client’s] A copy of the transcript of the Dec. 12 hearing said he “attacked her when she got home.”

Moore was booked into the Washtenaw Correctional Institution on the evening of December 10. Moore was released two days later on a $25,000 bond with his wife, Kelly, who they have three children with.

The former football coach made his first court appearance on the day of his release. He was arraigned on one felony and two misdemeanors: third-degree burglary, stalking and burglary. Burglary is a felony charge and stalking and burglary are misdemeanor charges.
On January 23, he appeared in a Michigan court for a probable cause hearing. His wife accompanied him.
His attorney, Ellen Michaels, sought a 30-day adjournment to gather more evidence and told the judge she was seeking the plaintiff’s phone records and Title IX documents from the University of Michigan.
Michaels then told the judge that the records would include statements from Moore’s accusers and other evidence that could call her credibility into question.

The prosecution did not object and the hearing was postponed to March 19.
