Woman struck by tractor-trailer after ‘intentionally walking’ on I-84 West in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) – A woman was hit by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 West early Friday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.

State police said a tractor-trailer struck the person near Exit 59 around 8:05 a.m.

A Honda HR-V was parked on the right shoulder of I-84 West. The tractor-trailer was traveling in the correct lane, according to state police.

State police said the driver of the Honda intentionally drove into the right lane and was struck by the tractor-trailer. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
