Wisconsin senior earns second straight top three-finalist nomination

Wisconsin Badgers women’s lacrosse senior captain Caroline Harvey was named to the prestigious top three for the second consecutive year.

Harvey learned on March 11 that she, along with Minnesota’s Abby Murphy and Penn State’s Tessa Janek, were named among the top three finalists for the 2026 Patty Kazmaier Award.

All three players represented Team USA in the Olympics. Now, in addition to the gold medal, their goal is to win the 2026 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. The winner will be announced live on NHL Network on Saturday, March 21 at 12:30 pm ET. This year’s Frozen Four will be held March 20-22 on the Penn State campus.

If Harvey wins, she will become the seventh Badger to win the award. Wisconsin is currently tied with Harvard University, with both schools producing six Patty Kazmaier Award winners.
