Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant wore a Guardian hat during the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
Bryant, a second-round draft pick out of Denver, Illinois, wore extra protection on his helmet after suffering two concussions in less than a month.

Bryant, 23, suffered a horrific concussion in Week 16 on Dec. 21 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was carted off the field. Twenty-seven days later, Bryant suffered another concussion on January 17 during a game against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
A day after the Bills game, Bryant did not experience any concussion symptoms, but he is now wearing extra head protection as a precaution.
Bryant was the first Broncos player to wear a Guardian hat during a game. All NFL players are required to wear helmets during training camp, but soft-shell helmet pads are optional during games.
