The Tennessee Titans lost 37-24 to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15, and while the score showcased the 49ers’ dominance, it didn’t do justice to the Titans’ effort.
No one expected the Titans to win this game; they were double-digit underdogs. The 49ers are heading for the playoffs, while the Titans have long since been eliminated. What people might not expect, however, is how hard the Titans play. No one expected Jeffrey Simmons to catch a touchdown pass either, but it happened.

The Titans fought hard against a team that was far superior to the 49ers, and they never stopped playing. For a team with no playoff aspirations, this is a great sign that they are continuing to work hard. It shows that the team wants to improve, every player wants to improve, and winning is still the goal, even if it’s not the focus.
Let’s take a look at Pro Football Focus’ grades for the Titans’ best and worst performances in the loss.
