Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has re-emerged in the NFL over the past two years, and now he’s looking to cement his legacy forever with a win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
When Darnold celebrated on the field after a narrow victory over the rival Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, he was on the field with his biggest supporter: his fiancée.

“You did it,” she told him after the game when he placed the NFC championship cap on her.
“That’s what we do.”
Who is Darnold’s partner?
Her name is Katie Hufnagel. Unlike other athletes who dated pop stars or popular influencers, Hufnagel was a marketing expert who worked at North Carolina around the same time Darnold was playing for the Carolina Panthers.
The moment considered the lowest point in Darnold’s career may have been the moment his life took a turn after meeting Hofnagle.
After Carolina, he backed up Brock Purdy with the San Francisco 49ers and reached the Super Bowl as a backup. He then resurrected his career as a starter in Minnesota, going 14-3 with the Vikings before arriving in Seattle this offseason, where he will be the team’s quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Hufnagel, who hails from the Bay Area and San Francisco, will return home next Sunday to see if her future husband can win the biggest race of his life.
Darnold proposed to her last summer in California, where they are both from. She’ll be watching from the stands, hoping their engagement ring isn’t the only jewelry he wears on their wedding day.
