The second phase of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will kick off on Saturday with eight players vying for a spot in the semi-finals.
Pakistan became the last team to reach the Super Eights with a win over Namibia on Wednesday, with former champions Australia’s early exit being the biggest shock in the group stages.

Which teams have qualified for the T20 World Cup Super Eight?
The eight teams are divided into two groups of four, with India and Sri Lanka in one group each.

Will the team retain their points and net run rate in the Super Eights?
Neither their points nor net points will be carried over, giving both sides the chance to start fresh.
How does the Super Eights work?
Each team will play three other teams once, with the top two teams at the end of the round advancing to the semifinals.

As in the group stage, a win in the Super Eights will award two points, while a defeat will result in no points.
If each team is tied at the end of 20 rounds, a super round will be played until the result is determined.
What if it rains in the Super Eights?
In the event of inclement weather, each team must play at least five rounds to be considered complete.
If a game is interrupted by rain, both teams will receive one point each.
