TGL’s inaugural season a year ago featured games on Monday and Tuesday nights. In 2026, the TGL will also be held on Fridays and Sundays. In fact, the 2026 season will begin in 2025 and will be broadcast live on network television on Sunday, December 28th.
A virtual golf league backed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy helps fill the golf viewing void in the early weeks of the season, which ends in March. Especially in 2026, it will help satisfy the golf cravings of fans who won’t be in Maui for the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

By setting the season opener on December 28th, TGL may have found a niche. Yes, there are still two NFL games happening simultaneously (one on CBS and one on Fox), but there’s no College Football Bowl game that day. If nothing else, the TGL opener is a solid second screen option.

How to watch the TGL 2026 season opener
The 2026 TGL season opener will be a rematch of last year’s final between Atlanta Drive and New York Golf Club. All TGL games are held at the SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach, Florida.
The game will air live on ABC and ESPN+ at 3 p.m. ET.
What’s new in 2026 for fans watching TGL on TV?
TGL has new virtual glasses lens comparison graphics. There will also be real-time ball tracking before all shots hit the big screen, as well as an augmented reality overlay that compares shots to team averages and all-time bests.

The massive SoFi Center now houses 79 cameras, including new reverse angle and top-down shots to better show the action from different angles.
