With the annual dance competition in Illinois wrapping up, the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) will host the 2026 Cheerleading Championships this weekend.

Two days of action-packed action with nearly 100 teams showcasing their best performances in 1A, 2A, 3A and co-ed classes. Only a handful of the most dominant teams leave Bloomington with state championship hardware.
As per tradition, preliminaries will be held on Friday and finals on Saturday, marking the end of the cheerleading season. Be sure to tune in and cheer for your favorite team.

The Illinois High School Cheerleading Championships will not be broadcast on television channels. You can live stream both days of the event on the NFHS Network.

The Illinois High School Dance Championships will be held on Friday, February 6th and Saturday, February 7th. Friday’s game will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., while Saturday’s game will be from 11 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Central Time. The game will be held at Grossinger Arena in Bloomington.
