The Andre Dawson Classic will be held this weekend and will feature seven teams from historically black colleges and universities, as well as a guest program.
HBCU teams participating in this year’s event include Florida A&M, Hall of Famer Dawson’s alma mater, as well as Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Southern University and Texas Southern University. Yale will join them in one game, Saturday against Jackson State.

Where is the Andre Dawson Classic held?
The 18th Annual Andre Dawson Classic will be held for the third consecutive year at the Jackie Robinson Training Center in Vero Beach, Florida.
Previous Classics were held in Compton, California, Houston and New Orleans.
