Last year, the team fielded four scholarship running backs, all of whom missed multiple games due to injuries. The addition of Jackson brings the Badgers’ total scholarship offer to five, including Sama, freshman Darion Dupree, redshirt sophomore Gideon Ituka and incoming freshman Quantavius Wiggins.
Jackson might just need a chance. Despite not getting a lot of playing time, he showed flashes and contributed in some big moments. This season, his 29-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter helped the team beat Michigan. As a freshman, he rushed six times for a career-high 71 yards against Notre Dame and ran 16 times for 66 yards against Texas A&M in the 2024 SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl.
