NASCAR driver Daniel Day has been suspended indefinitely by Kaulig Racing following an incident during a live broadcast that went viral for all the wrong reasons.
As Day opened his card pack and went live on Whatnot, he talked about IndyCar’s David Malukas, saying he once asked the driver if he would race on an oval.

“He said, ‘Oh my gosh, yeah, we’re racing in Indianapolis, love Indianapolis, and Roger Penske, I love Roger. Love you, Roger,'” Day said.
He then added: “Once I start doing David Malukas’ ‘Gay Voice,’ I’m going to hit gold, so let’s keep it going.”
Of course, this is horrific and offensive.
Day later apologized on social media and released a lengthy statement on Tuesday night:
ESPN reported another incident:
This is the second time Day has been suspended.
The 18-year-old was arrested at a high school in Daytona Beach, Florida, while participating in the ARCA Series and charged with a felony for approaching a classmate and punching the student in the groin area. The victim was treated in hospital for a possible ruptured testicle.
Day said it was just a game and he would be acquitted. Instead, he was suspended indefinitely by NASCAR’s ARCA. Day was reinstated when the charge was downgraded from a felony to a misdemeanor.
