With the regular season over, there’s only one month left until we enter the long college football offseason. Fortunately, the season is strong and there will be almost non-stop bowl games over the next few weeks. Almost every day, we enjoy some playoff football action, all leading up to the National Championship on Monday, January 19th.

What college football bowl games are happening today?

Bowl season officially kicks off with the Cricket Celebration Bowl on Saturday at 12:00 ET, pitting the South Carolina Bulldogs against the Prairie View A&M Panthers. Both teams are on winning streaks, with South Carolina State winning its last seven games and Prairie View A&M winning its last four. You can watch the game on ABC.

Bowl games continue with the Boise State Broncos taking on the Washington Huskies in the Bucked Up LA Bowl at 8:00 ET. Boise State has won nine games this season, including its last three, and is looking to tie 10 games against Washington, which is 8-4. The game will also air on ABC

When is the College Football Playoff?

The first round of the College Football Playoff will be held on Friday, December 19th and Saturday, December 20th. The winners of these four games will advance to the quarter-finals on December 31 and January 1. The semi-finals are scheduled for January 8 and 9. national championship January 19th.
