The Golden State Warriors have clear incentives to make moves on the buyout market this season.

The Warriors need all the help they can get moving forward, which should motivate them to find assets that fit their system.
Jedd Padaguan of ClutchPoints believes pairing Stephen Curry with the 6-foot-8 former G League MVP and two-time NBA champion is a move that makes sense for the Golden State Warriors.
“The current acquisition market doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence,” Padaguan said. “Of the guys that have been cut, a guy like Chris Boucher makes the most sense. Boucher is also a former Warrior, so that could be significant.”
The Warriors are unlikely to remember Boucher’s time with the team in the late 2010s. The Oregon State product appeared in just one game against the Golden State Warriors in 2017-18, but started his NBA career with a championship thanks to a deep roster.

Boucher spent his next NBA stop with the Toronto Raptors and transitioned into a legitimate role player in the major leagues. The 33-year-old’s enticing contributions on both ends helped him earn a contract with the contender Boston Celtics last offseason.
Unfortunately, Boucher did not last another season in Boston, as the Celtics traded him to the Utah Jazz on February 5. With the Jazz recently waiving, the Warriors will have a chance to reunite with the veteran forward before the playoffs if their interest in him is high enough.
