The Golden State Warriors are reportedly considered the frontrunner to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo via trade, either before the February 5 trade deadline or during the summer. The team is expected to be ahead of the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat in offering substantial trade packages.
According to Kurt Helin of NBC Sports, they have the ability to dangling at least four future first-round picks, multiple pick swaps and the young talent selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in a potential trade. As a result, their trade offer for Giannis may be the strongest in the league.
“League sources NBC Sports are leaning toward Golden State because it could offer up to four first-round picks (which could be very valuable after Curry retires, Antetokounmpo retires, and the Warriors struggle). ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported the same thing,” Helin reported.
There are rumors that Giannis is unhappy in Milwaukee as the team continues to move in the wrong direction and, given the Bucks’ lack of maneuverability, they are now increasingly willing to part ways with the greatest player in franchise history.

If the Warriors sign Giannis, they will form a new superstar tandem with him and Stephen Curry. Then hopefully the team can put enough high-level players around them to compete for a championship in the final years of Stephen Curry and Giannis’ careers.
