Your iPhone is out of space? Just rent a movie on iTunes and get a few gigabytes of space on your iPhone.

Users of Apple’s 16GB iPhone models tend to run out of storage space. On this device, users get around 11GB of user-accessible storage, with the rest used by Apple’s iOS operating system.

After installing some apps and storing photos, music, and videos, users often run out of storage space.

According to a post on Reddit, there’s a crazy trick you can try to reclaim some used up space.

The trick is to rent the movie from iTunes. To learn how this trick works, visit set up > General > about and scroll down to available.

Check the remaining storage space and go to iTunes Store.

Search for a movie that is larger than the space remaining on your phone. For example, if the available space is 4GB, select a movie with a file size greater than 4GB.

Then click rent at the top of the page. The user will not be charged because the phone does not have enough space to download, and a message will appear: You don’t have enough storage space available.

after click OKgo back to settings and check your available storage again. A significant increase in available storage space should be visible.

You can repeat the entire process several times.

“As of now, it’s unclear how this trick works, but it may be related to clearing some cache and other storage within the application,” the report states.
