In an interview with the BBC, the former Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea manager said he would like to work in England’s top flight again.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world. Of course I miss it. I’m happy in America but I always think about coming back one day,” he said. “It’s the most competitive league and I’d certainly love to come back again.”
The United States received a favorable draw for the World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Canada and Mexico. Pochettino’s side are expected to at least qualify from the group that includes Paraguay, Australia and the European play-off winners between Turkey, Slovakia, Kosovo and Romania.
When asked if there was one more thing he could achieve in his career, Pochettino’s answer was “win the Premier League and the Champions League.”
“We were very close at Tottenham. I want to achieve this. I’m still young and I have the energy, experience and motivation to try for the future,” he said.
