US action achieved only partial success

The United States has only been partially successful in its military campaign to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said in a speech on state television on Saturday.

Wearing a military helmet and body armor and surrounded by armed guards, Cabello said: “The country is quite calm. What they wanted to achieve with bombs and missiles was only partially successful.”

“They expected people to flee out of cowardice. But that didn’t happen. The time for cowards is over,” he added.
