Unsealed documents reveal new details in rape case against BYU wide receiver

British stone. George, Utah (ABC4) — Recently released documents reveal more about the investigation into the BYU receiver accused of rape on Tuesday.

Parker Kingston, 21, wide receiver, Brigham Young University was formally charged with one count of felony rape. in Washington County. On Thursday, a judge granted a motion to unseal the case and revealed more details about the investigation.

According to a probable cause affidavit, detectives with the St. George Police Department first became aware of the sexual assault allegation after a 20-year-old woman contacted officers at St. George Regional Hospital on February 27, 2025.

Several months later, on June 3, the alleged victim met with a forensic interviewer at the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office. During the interview, she disclosed “online communications” in which she repeatedly told Kingston she did not want to have sex with him, law enforcement said.

Documents show she set clear boundaries with Kingston before the meeting.

She also told officers that Kingston arrived at her home in the early morning hours of February 23, 2025, and the two watched a movie together. While watching the movie, police said she engaged in “some sexual activity” but did not engage in sexual intercourse.

Later, documents state Kingston began to fall asleep and the woman left the room to go to bed. When she returned about 15 minutes later, Kingston allegedly initiated sexual activity again.

Police said the woman told Kingston to “stop” multiple times and even tried to push him off her, before Kingston allegedly raped her.

Speaking to Kingston, police said the footballer claimed all activities were consensual.

“Based on communications obtained from Kingston’s cellphone after the incident, it was concluded that he went to her apartment to engage in sexual conduct,” police said in the affidavit.

The Washington County Prosecutor’s Office told ABC4 that BYU police assisted detectives in the “late stages” of the investigation by executing search warrants and gathering information.

Kingston is expected to make his first court appearance on Friday, February 13.

Accusations are just accusations. All persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
