U.S. Crypto Education Group, American Innovation Project, Gets First Director

The newest member of the U.S. cryptocurrency advocacy group, the American Innovation Project, will soon welcome its first executive director, Allie Page, who previously served as chief operating officer of the Blockchain Association, one of the industry’s leading lobbying organizations.

Page will leave next month, following the exit of Blockchain Association CEO Kristin Smith, who became president of the Solana Policy Institute (SPI) in May and is also chair of the AIP board of directors.

“Allie has the rare ability to connect with stakeholders across the political spectrum, and our industry can rely on him to advance the issues that shape the future of American innovation,” Smith said in a statement.

The non-profit AIP will focus on hosting events to educate policymakers rather than lobbying, tapping into an advocacy space already crowded with organizations such as BA, SPI, Digital Chamber, Cryptocurrency Innovation Council, DeFi Education Fund, Solana Policy Institute, Coin Center, and the National Cryptocurrency Association. Page said the group would help “ensure American leaders have the foundational knowledge they need to craft smart, balanced policies that promote innovation and ensure America leads the next generation of technologies,” with plans to hold a summit in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, next year.

Before entering the crypto industry, Page’s previous experience focused more on agriculture, serving on the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the Public Lands Commission.
