Two summer transfer targets for FC Bayern named

Bayern Munich have identified two budget-friendly transfer targets for the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Sport Bild published on Wednesday.

One of them is Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Aslani. Contrary to recent reports from Sky Germany, Sports Illustrated claims Bayern remain interested in the 23-year-old striker.

Aslani has scored 8 goals and had 7 assists at Hoffenheim this season. His release clause is less than 30 million euros and can be introduced as a substitute for Harry Kane on the front line.

Another target is Feyenoord right-back Givaro Ried, who has been linked with Bayern for some time.

Fans should not expect big-money signings like Luis Diaz, who joined from Liverpool for €70 million last summer, according to honorary president Uli Hoeness.

“We will not make big moves in the transfer market in the summer. Our credo is that transfers cannot put us into debt. For me, there is no compromise on this point,” Hoeness stressed.

“I see it this way: Bayern have shown this year that we understand the times. When we realized our savings were dwindling, we put the brakes on. Our transfer balance is very balanced. We are also reducing our squad.

“If we signed all the players we talked about, our savings account would be empty and we would have to take out loans to finance it. That was the decisive impulse we resisted.”
