TVS Motor Company has launched its premium electric crossover two-wheeler, TVS X, targeting the Millennials and Generation Z in India and abroad. The launch price is Rs. The electric two-wheeler, worth Rs 2.5 lakh, is equipped with a high-performance battery pack with an installed capacity of 4.44kWh, an acceleration time of 0-40km/h in 2.6 seconds, and a sustained top speed of 105km/h.

“TVS X will be launched at an exciting launch price of Rs 2,49,990 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) with a portable 950W charger priced at Rs 16,275 (inclusive of GST) with the option of a 3kW Smart X home fast charger,” the company’s CEO KN Radhakrishnan said at a launch event in Dubai on Wednesday.

While interacting with the media, Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, TVS Motor Company said, “Our target customers are the Millennials and Generation Z. Our commitment to leveraging technology and innovation for a greener and more sustainable future has brought us this incredibly ideal machine.” Millennials include people born between 1981 and 1996, while those born between 1996 and 2010 are called Generation Z (Gen Z).
This electric two-wheeler is designed for global citizens who are trendsetters and dreamers with a passion for technology. This, he said, will inspire people to move towards quality, sustainable and technologically advanced mobility solutions.
Venu also said that the company has invested Rs 250 crore as capital expenditure for the production of new models.
Replying to a question on exports, Venu said that apart from selling in India, the company also plans to export the model to Bangladesh, Nepal, Europe and Latin America.
The electric two-wheeler is equipped with the largest 10.2-inch HD+ TFT touchscreen in its class, which provides the rider with navigation, music, video services, gaming options, and more.
