President Donald Trump’s favorite lawyer Alina Habba has left her husband to focus on the MAGAverse.
Trump’s former personal attorney Harba divorced her millionaire husband Greg Reuben last month and bought a home near Mar-a-Lago, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday, citing New Jersey Superior Court documents.
A source close to Haba, 41, told the outlet she was “a star in her own right” while Reuben, 53, “is not involved in politics”, adding that “it’s hard to live in such a shadow”.
Sources familiar with their relationship told the outlet that they had separated last year, but that their divorce was amicable and resolved quickly.

Haba, 41, who has two children from her first marriage to Matthew Eyet, whom she divorced a year ago, married Reuben, 53, on December 31, 2020. She and Reuben had no children during their five-year marriage.
Reuben, a Harvard Business School graduate, is the millionaire founder and CEO of Centerpark, a New York parking management company, and chairman of the board of directors of the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The president’s former adviser briefly served as acting U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey last year, but Chief U.S. District Judge Matthew W. Brann ruled that she acted unlawfully by serving more than 120 days without Senate confirmation.
On December 1, a three-judge panel upheld the ruling and disqualified her from the position. A week later, she resigned from that position, even though Attorney General Pam Bondi announced in a post on

This MAGA devotee is eager to get back to his old job. However, Bondi’s Justice Department has asked a federal appeals court to reconsider the December ruling.
Harba embarrassed herself during an appearance on Newsmax on Monday in an attempt to criticize former Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris by confusing former baseball star Reggie Jackson with the late civil rights leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
“If you look at Kamala Harris’s desperate comments at Reggie Jackson’s funeral, and she didn’t even know him, and if you look at this, they’ve come so far,” she said.
Haba’s statement fails on multiple levels. Not only is baseball player Jackson still alive, but Harris actually knew Pastor Jackson, having appeared with him at many public events.

The New Jersey native has represented Trump in a number of high-profile cases, including a defamation lawsuit he lost to E. Jean Carroll, for which the New York writer was awarded $83.3 million.
Haba and Reuben did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
