President Donald Trump has feuded with a range of people during his time in the White House. While relations between him and billionaire Elon Musk appear to have improved recently, that doesn’t mean peace. It just means we should be keeping an eye on another feud, reportedly involving VP J.D. Vance.
Rob Schuette said Vance has laid the groundwork for his own presidential campaign, and Trump is not taking kindly to it. In fact, sources told gossip columnists that Trump has begun calling Vance “Prince William,” rather than as a compliment. Here, we think Trump loves the royal family.

Maybe it’s just that, in Trump’s mind, he is the king. Vance is the prince waiting his turn. “JD.com should be very careful,” one source said. “If Donald feels even slightly pushed aside, he will attack. Trump will not tolerate heirs — real or imagined.”
There are reports that Vance is already building a campaign and trying to zero in on early primary states, which would make sense if he was indeed gearing up for a presidential bid. But people in Trump’s inner circle are not happy. “They are watching every move,” one source said. “In Trump’s world, ambition equals betrayal.”
That’s not all. Insiders warned of how Trump might react to Vance, laying the groundwork for his succession. “Donald knows exactly what happens when a challenger starts to gain traction,” an insider said. “He’s seen the movie before – and he always strikes first.”
It’s too early to know what the presidential field will look like in the next election, whether Republican or Democratic, but Vance’s decision could determine the outcome of the Republican field.
But for Trump, this isn’t political, it’s personal. Almost everything is. “JD.com may have thought he was planning an event,” one source said. “But Trump thinks he has a rival for the throne.”
All of this comes amid other disturbing reports about J.D. Vance’s marriage to Usha Vance, which is also being watched closely. Of course, politicians’ marital status is subject to much speculation. People have been speculating about the Obamas, just as they have been about President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. But they don’t always have something to do.
This time, they did. Usha Vance has been spotted without her wedding ring many times.
Vance addressed these rumors in a recent interview with NBC News published on December 5, 2025. “I think we had some fun with it,” he said. “As with anything in life, take the good with the bad. You accept there are sacrifices, but there are also some really good things that come with it. But our marriage is as strong as ever and I think Usha really loves it and it’s been so cool to see how she develops and evolves in this new role.”
