Trump Makes Stunning Allegation That the Supreme Court Has Been Corrupted by Foreign Influence

president Donald Trump He made the shocking accusation at a press conference on Friday following the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down tariffs imposed by his government under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

“I think the court was influenced by foreign interests and a much smaller political movement than people think,” Trump said at the start of his speech. “It was a small movement. I won by millions of votes. We won by a landslide. Even though the cheating was going on, and there was a lot of it, we were still in a landslide. It was too big to manipulate. But these people are obnoxious, ignorant, loud, and they’re very loud. I think some judges are afraid of that. They don’t want to do the right thing.”

During the question-and-answer portion of the press conference, Trump was asked what he meant by the suggestion that the justices were influenced by foreign interests.

“Well, I think foreign interests are represented by people who I think have undue influence. They have a lot of influence over the Supreme Court, whether it’s through fear or respect or friendship — I don’t know. But I know some people who are involved on the other side and I don’t like them. I think they’re real slimeballs,” Trump responded. That’s why I have so much respect for Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh. “

Minutes later, a second reporter asked the president if he had evidence to back up his accusation.

“You’re going to find out, you’re going to find out,” Trump responded.
