Tottenham loses again and faces fight for Premier League survival

LONDON (AP) — Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League survival hopes took another blow on Thursday as they lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace.

Spurs, one of Europe’s richest teams and a founding member of the Premier League, are just one point above the relegation zone and without a domestic win in 2026.

The latest loss was the fifth in a row and the third under new coach Igor Tudor, who is tasked with turning around the season.

He watched Spurs capitulate in front of their home fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – conceding three goals in the first half when leading before being reduced to 10 men after Mickey van de Veen was sent off.

Crystal Palace took full advantage, scoring three goals in the space of seven minutes before the break.

Ismaila Sarr scored twice, one of which came from the penalty spot, while Jorgen Strand Larsson scored the other for the visitors.

That was after Dominic Solanke gave Spurs the lead in the 34th minute. Four minutes later, Van der Veen was sent off for bringing down Sarr in the penalty area.
