Torez Finney may be a physical specimen, but he’s not indestructible.
As it turns out, Finney (11-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) discovered that recently, if he didn’t realize it already. Finney suffered a leg injury during his loss to Jacob Marcon at UFC 325 and was visibly limping by the time the decision was made official.

On Wednesday, Finney revealed the extent of the damage. He tore his ACL and meniscus and had surgery the day after the Jan. 31 loss. Finney added that the injury occurred in the first 15 seconds of the game.
This was the first defeat in Finney’s career. The 27-year-old middleweight comes into this fight having won his debut against Robert Valentine in April.
Finney did not reveal a timetable for his return. However, it typically takes professional athletes nine to 12 months to recover from an ACL tear. Some people recover within seven months of injury.
