Law enforcement is paying new attention to the Tucson home of Nancy Guthrie’s daughter, Annie Guthrie, and her husband, Tommaso Cioni.
According to Fox News reporter Sarah Rumpf Whitten, investigators spent 2.5 hours at the home of Tommaso Cioni and Annie Guthrie on the evening of February 7. Whitten shared multiple videos of the scene on her X page, showing the SUV driving away from the couple’s residence. However, it’s unclear why law enforcement was there. Authorities have not charged Annie Guthrie or Tommaso Cioni with any wrongdoing.
“A white flash can be seen coming from the garage, which appears to be investigators taking photos,” Whitten wrote on X. “LE is also seen taking a silver briefcase from an unmarked white truck at Anne Guthrie’s home.”
Tommaso Cioni worked as a teacher and poet. Annie Guthrie was one of Nancy’s three children and a poet and author. They have one child together and she confirmed in a 2013 interview that they were married. Annie Guthrie now appears to have deleted or made private some family photos, including a photo of Cioni that she posted on her Facebook page. The photos, which became visible in the days after Nancy disappeared, show Anne and Sione hiking and other family activities together. A photo of Joni is still prominently displayed on her Facebook page.

CNN also reported: “At least three deputy sheriffs showed up at Anne Guthrie’s home on Saturday night. Although the lights in the house appeared dim and the curtains were drawn, a bright flash was observed through the window – possibly caused by authorities taking photos.”
The network added: “A deputy was also seen wearing blue latex gloves.”
