Thursday Headlines: Happy New Year and Kentucky vs. LSU Gameday

Long time no see…it seems like I haven’t talked to you since last year!

Well, gotta get away from the stereotypical New Year jokes.

Anyway, happy new year, big blue country!

I hope each of you had a happy ending to 2025 and look forward to what 2026 has to offer. Hopefully for us, it brings a lot of wins and memorable moments to the Kentucky Wildcat sports community.

We have a big game tonight as Kenny Brooks and the Cats take on Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers on New Year’s Day.

Last year’s matchup between these two teams was a tough one for Kentucky, with the Wildcats leading by 12 points at halftime, but LSU roared out in the third quarter and beat Lexington 65-58.

Going on the road against a top-five team will certainly be a tall order for the Wildcats, who haven’t beaten the Tigers in Baton Rouge since 2019. However, if they can pull it off, a win tonight would be a big statement for the program.

Tonight’s game is exclusively on SEC Network+, so make sure you’re ready to watch them all.
