In the Week 16 finale, the Buffalo Bills (11-4) defeated the Cleveland Browns (3-12) 23-20. During the game broadcast, an interesting statistic was announced.

CBS Sports reported that McDermott’s family recorded his team’s record in one specific situation: when he wore glasses.
Yes, glasses.
“In the beginning, his son reminded him that Bill Mafia was talking about glasses and records, because you see, things are more positive without glasses and records,” CBS Sports’ Evan Washburn said. “And then his wife approved of it.”
As shown below, Buffalo was 7-1 when McDermott wore contacts, and the Bills were 3-3 when McDermott wore glasses:
