These two New England towns tied for the highest blizzard snowfall total in the country

Cranston and Dartmouth are co-kings of the 2026 Blizzard.

Final snowfall totals have been released, with Cranston, Rhode Island, and Dartmouth, Massachusetts, both seeing 37 inches of snow during the Sunday-Tuesday blizzard, beating out only Warwick, Rhode Island (36.2 inches) for the top spot.

The worst-hit area in New York State was Central Islip, with a cumulative thickness of 31 inches. North Stonington, Connecticut is the deepest buried site in the state with a depth of 30.8 inches.

Overall, 18 states and Washington, D.C., saw some snowfall during the storm, with several states receiving an impressive accumulation of more than 30 inches.
